Film & Video Production

I started playing with video cameras back in high school. Early on, I really enjoyed this form of storytelling and started making mock commericials with my little sister. 

I got my degree in Communications/ Media Studies from Northeastern University in 2010 and my MFA in film production from the University of Southern California in 2013. 

In film school I had the chance to learn the different disciplines: screenwriting, cinematography, editing, directing, espcially focusing on producing (essentially excecuting of all the crazy ideas film students had).

Living in LA gave me a good exposure to the industry. I worked as an intern at Montecito Pictures while still in school and I worked on an Oscar nomintaed documnetary film "The Square" right after I gradutaed. 

My most satisfying project was producing a documentary film with my USC classmates called "Looking at the Stars", for which we followed blind ballerinas in Sao Paulo Brazil for 3 years. The film received many recognitions and awards which I helped apply for, including an HBO grant and a student Academy Award. 

When I moved to Vancouver, I worked with Georgia Street Media as a production coordinator and many other independent projects. I later worked with a marketing agency called Armature Collective as video producer. My work an an entreprenuer is definitely influenced by my experience as a visual story teller as vice versa. In addition to producing video content for my youtube channel and lifestyle brand Tiidii Living, I continue working with businesses as a freelance video marketer.
